In March the Journal of Commerce (JOC) hosted their annual Transpacific Maritime (TPM) conference in Long Beach, California with over 2000 participants including Shippers, Carriers, Forwarders, Port Officials, Government Officials and more. This conference is an excellent opportunity to bring together our industry peers facilitating fruitful discussions around market updates, forecasts, labor issues etc. It is also an ideal opportunity to nurture existing customer relationships, showcase our Smart Ocean product and hopefully open the door to new business opportunities.
This year, our teams from Hellmann USA, Asia and Global Seafreight hosted the “After Party” which turned out to be a huge success with over 400 attendees. We rented out the most popular venue and brought in Southern California’s hottest 80’s band which had everyone dancing all night. Hellmann received great praise from everyone, and as a result we are speaking with over 100 new potential customers and have already received many new business RFQs that we are working on right now. Most importantly, we delivered a strong message to all that Hellmann USA is ready to do business!
