Without A, B and O something is missing!

Hellmann Germany is very happy to participate in the campaign #MissingType initiated by the Red Cross for World Blood Donor Day. Together with many other German institutions and companies, we want to attract 100,000 new blood donors in order to ensure the future supply of blood in Germany. During the campaign period from 14 – 22 June 2018, like many other companies and institutions, we will leave out the letters A, B and O for the individual blood groups in our logo and point out the need for blood donations with the statement “Only if it’s missing, it’s noticeable!”

Background to the campaign is the awareness that demographic developments mean that in Germany alone there are almost 100,000 fewer active blood donors every year, which can lead to a considerable bottleneck in the supply of German clinics. Every day, around 15,000 donors are needed to meet the nationwide demand for blood products. In addition, fewer and fewer people even know their blood type. The absence of the letters A, B and O in the logos of companies and institutions is intended to bring this topic back into the minds of the population.
