It has been two years since the announcement of the strategic partnership between Lufthansa Cargo and Golden Cargo. On this year’s Posidonia Exhibition in Athens, Greece, the two organizations celebrated the second year of partnership with a joint exhibition booth.
Recently, a new airfreight concept has been developed in cooperation with Lufthansa Cargo offered to the maritime industry professionals at the Posidonia trade fair. The new concept combines the standards and characteristics of similar verticals currently in effect and related to the industrial and commercial business sectors.
The long term cooperation and trusted business relation with Lufthansa Cargo built over the last 25 years was sealed through the participation in the Lufthansa Cargo business partnership program. The combination of Golden Cargo’s marine logistics capabilities and Lufthansa Cargo global coverage guarantees a high quality logistics handling chain for any shipping or shipping related company. Today, more than 2,500 ships are served globally in time and effectively by Golden Cargo which has become a contract logistics provider for large producers and traders of ships spare parts with more than 70% transported by air.
As per Mr Theodore Veniamis, CEO of our group during an exhibition event: “Golden Cargo being committed in providing top class services has met in Lufthansa Cargo the ideal partner to effectively serve its customers on a global basis.”
“Lufthansa Cargo strongly supports specialized logistics providers in the best possible way to succeed in their global activities. Golden Cargo which has a special relationship with the marine industry has a team fully familiarized with the maritime logistics industry and in this sense is an ideal partner for Lufthansa Cargo”, said Mr Peter Gerber, Chairman and CEO of Lufthansa Cargo. “Our partnership was designed to provide enhanced value to our customers,” he continues.
We were also delighted that the top class organization “YES Forum”, a leading platform of open dialogue in the Greek Shipping and Sea Tourism Industry among principals, executives and university students, recent graduates and young executives hosted our first marine logistics workshop during the “YES to Shipping” open day help during the last day of the exhibition. We had the opportunity to present our business philosophy and to provide an insight of our activities.
Posidonia is one of the largest maritime industry exhibitions in the world with more than 90 countries and 2000 exhibitors participating and over 20000 visitors in a 4 day event. The exhibition goes back 50 years and ever since has evolved in one of the most anticipated shows for all shipping industry professionals, taking place every 2 years in Athens.
