As part of our ongoing commitment to our customers, we are proud to announce that Hellmann Worldwide Logistics has been accredited by the Australian Border Force under the Australian Trusted Trader (ATT) program. This is a major achievement for us and means that our customers can be confident that we have the processes in place to provide a secure supply chain across all facets of the Logistics cycle.
Hellmann Australia – that is more than 250 employees who operate in eight offices and six different cities. The regional headquarters is located in Sydney, major gateways being in Melbourne and Perth. The other offices are located in Adelaide, Brisbane and Darwin. In total, we operate more than 42,000 square meters of warehousing space in Australia.
Our service portfolio ranges from airfreight and sea freight to contract logistics and special solutions for customs brokerage and IT solutions. A particular industry focus is on the energy and mining sectors, where we provide dedicated Project Cargo services. With the ATT status, we are now able to supplement our previous certifications C-TPAT, MSQA, AQIS and ISO 9001.
So why should importers and exporters select a Logistics partner that has Australian Trusted Trader status?
The Australian Government has identified the importance of security and integrity in the supply chain and thus they have committed to providing an environment where Australian Companies can apply for ATT status which could result in bilateral benefits with other countries who have similar programs and direct benefits at the border.
Importers and Exporters that are accredited under the ATT program receive a range of benefits – including reduced supply chain costs, less intervention at the border, improved lead-times, and reduced ABF audits, faster turn around times for services such as tariff advice and valuation advice’s, plus a dedicated account manager to assist with various issues – when coupled with other partners who are approved under the scheme.
The dedicated Account Manager provides Hellmann with direct access to the Australian Border Force which may assist with issues at the border at the time that is most critical in the supply chain … on arrival or impending export. This is when no delays are acceptable.
Lastly if you are an Australian Trusted trader, please contact us to arrange a discussion around this, however if you are not an Australian Trusted Trader, please contact Drazen Basar in our Melbourne office on 03 9335.3555 and he can assist you through the process if you feel that the program could be of benefit to your organization.
